The core editing toolbar
These sit along the bottom bar of any open project.
Split
Cut a clip at the playhead into two independent pieces.
Speed
Slow down or speed up a clip independently of the rest of the timeline.
Volume
Adjust a clip's audio level without touching the rest of the sequence.
Adjust
Color and exposure controls applied per clip.
Filters
Built-in looks applied non-destructively over the source footage.
Green screen
Chroma-key a background out and drop in a new one or an overlay.
Mirror & slip
Flip a clip horizontally, or shift its content without changing its trim points.

Capture, built in
Edits doesn't require a separate camera app.
- Focal length choice. Pick how close or wide a shot appears before you record.
- Frame rate control. Set the frame rate to match your intended pacing.
- Camera settings. Resolution, dynamic range, flash, and zoom are all adjustable in-app.
